Custom medical footwear

Recommended for high-risk patients who require internal bracing integrated into the shoe and whose foot does not conform to the parameters of a prefabricated shoe.

2

Prefabricated medical footwear

These shoes are typically suitable for patients with mild to moderate foot issues that do not require custom-made or highly specialised footwear, such as those needing extra depth, volume, and width.

Custom orthotics

Custom orthotics are personalized for each patient's foot. Functional types correct foot movements for better biomechanics, while accommodative types provide cushioning and support, particularly for conditions like diabetic foot ulcers or arthritis.

Plantar Pressure & Gait Assessment

At Enable Pedorthics, we utilise a state-of-the-art plantar pressure and gait measurement tool that allows us to quantify foot function, loading, and motion. This system enables us to validate treatment plans and ensure interventions, such as custom orthotics or footwear modifications, lead to improved patient outcomes.

Ankle-Foot Orthoses (AFOs)

We provide Ankle-Foot Orthoses (AFOs) to support a range of lower-limb needs. Prefabricated AFOs offer standard support for mild to moderate conditions, while custom, internally integrated AFOs are designed for high-risk patients requiring specialised bracing built directly into their footwear.
For optimal function and safety, AFOs must work in harmony with both the shoe and the patient. This ensures the orthosis and footwear support each other, providing correct alignment, offloading pressure, and promoting mobility.

Pedorthic modifications

Shoe stretching or widening, heel lifts or wedges, metatarsal pads or bars, rocker soles, toe props, medial lateral tilts, buttresses, and shoe build-ups are common Pedorthic modifications.

General repairs

A few general footwear repairs include sole replacement, heel replacement, patching or stitching for tears or holes, zipper replacement, and general upkeep such as cleaning and conditioning leather or fabric to maintain appearance and durability.
